LJean's Story
People always ask me when I became an artist and I like to say ‘at 3 years of age’. My mother was an extremely talented artist who began my training with finger paints when I was only 3 years old. She patiently taught me all that she knew so that by the time I entered a Fine Art Institute, I found its classes to be redundant.

Much of my time is spent on commissioned pieces of which none will be on this website. They are in homes throughout the nation.

Most of my works are oil paintings. However due to the range of students that I teach, I continue to produce a smattering of watercolors, acrylics, and mixed media pieces. But all of my works continue to hold a curious mixture of naturalism, romanticism and fantasy.
